Do you have anyother locations? Or is the chef working somewhere else. Delicious food I gotta say! I can drive hours to come to this place
Worst experience ever. Waste of money. No salt in food even they denied to change it when requested to change.
Good food. Friendly service. Buffets are available.
Good buffet. Reasonable price.
Love it. It’s not the best Indian food you’ll ever have but great options & they bring you just made naan to your table if you do the buffet. Service is good. Sometimes the music is too loud in my opinion but the vegetarian options are great. Their dessert rice is amazing. Easy parking.
Awesome service awesome food halal meats we come monthly
Loved it, great service, great food!
Love this place. David is awesome. His personality is great and the food is yummy as well. The vegetable pakora makes me want to come back for more.
First off the food was amazing, everything we ordered was delicious! We dined in and it felt truly at home and comfortable. The son of the owners, Dave, was working the dining room and also running the Togo orders. He was very funny and personable. He was honest and helpful when ordering. He was also very upfront and liked conversating with us. Thank you for a nice experience, we will be back!!!!
Food was good, a bit on the sweeter side (for the malai kofta and paneer masala), but the service was amazing so I bumped up to 5 stars! Dave, our server, was engaging and funny, and also knowledgeable about the dishes. It shows that he used to be a cook and knows the process for the meals.
best Indian food in Syracuse! only better you'll find is a 5 hour drive down to nyc . worth the wait. worth the splurge.
They served us raw, stale food and we returned it, and they still wanted us to pay for it. A family restaurant full of lying, dishonest people. I would stay away from this place.
Too much attitude. Called after a stormy weekend to avoid walking all the way in snow. Can't tell what's on buffet menu over phone want us to come to the restaurant and take a look. Very disappointed. I used to go there almost every week with my roommates. Never stepping into the restaurant again. Most customer unfriendly behaviour :(
Great price...delicious food...ambience was good...overall for 9$ buffet was superb..especially chanadal chicken...
The food and the service were very good. I was happy with it.
Was it an Indian Restaurant? I was in India a lot of times. In villages and in towns I love Indian food. This was by far one of the less authentic in my life in 40 years experience I live in Germany but I have to say that even every small Indian restaurant makes more tasty curry and paratha So I have to say I did not taste any Indian food Even on a highway Indian restaurant the taste was 300 % or more better and original I cannot recommend it at all I had no !!!!!! Indian taste Sorry but it was tasteless and far away from even Indian street food So I have to say: never again Because they destroy the glory of Indian marvelous food
They have a very tasty lunch buffet, awesome delivery too.
My favorite Indian restaurant in Syracuse. I've been coming here for several years and even if I go a long time between visits, some of the staff still remember me and greet me like an old friend. It really makes the place feel special. I have dined in, and also ordered ungodly amounts of takeout, and the food is consistently great. Note that the wait for takeout can drag on sometimes, if you're ordering a lot. It's a small operation and they do get busy, so at dinnertime it's not the best option for a really quick bite. But I've never been disappointed by the food or service. When I order to go I always opt for pickup, so I can't comment on the delivery.
I initially thought this resturant was going to be a great experience. However the person that was going to deliever the food took a really long time just to order the food and us having to wait there for 45 minutes. After this he totally messed up our order. We requested that the spice level be medium and for sone foods mild spice level. However the chicken biryani was SUPER HOT UP TO THE POINT WHERE IT WAS BURNING MY MOUTH LIKE IT WAS ON FIRE!!!!!!!! I forgot to mention how rude the guy was by him cursing out another customer in front of everyone. When we ordered rasmali it tasted super bad like it was overly sweet. We gave him no tip. Honestly this is very pathetic. Dont eat from here
Great food, and our waiter was very friendly.
Best Indian around! Great family owned n operated place--wonderful family!! Always good always consistent. Love it!!
Delicious food and great service from David!we will be back
Great food place
It was okay the food could have been better the steam table was low so the food was cold.
I like Samosas and spicy food
Taste of India is the best Indian place around. The food is phenomenal and the service is incredible. The family that owns the restaurant couldn't be nicer. I would recommend this place to anyone especially to those who have never had Indian food before and to those who are connoisseurs of fine Indian cusine. I would like to make a special shout out to VJ who is many times at the front desk or delivery driving. VJ is consistently on time with his deliveries and quite professional. I can't wait to come back for some more Spicy Tandoori Shrimp!
The restaurant definitely did not review the order placed properly. Asked for Paneer Masala made Spicy and Veg Biryani made Medium Spicy, both weren't as specified and neither great. The driver that came to deliver the food was rude, demanding tip. Then, the restaurant called back to argue about the complaint made and said it is expected that they would be tipped, but the delivery driver started the conversation with, "if you want your food faster next time, tip the driver." That didn't even give me a chance to tip even if I had wanted to. Overall, bad experience when it comes to online ordering and would not recommend it.
One of the best Indian restaurant around campus.
Much needed improvement on all fronts
A very good and clean restaurant located in a nice neighborhood. It serves typical Indian buffet with several choices of entrees. Overall, it is a very nice place even though I cannot say it is exceptionally good.
The BEST Chicken Tikka Masala ever!! And fresh-made Na'an!!
This restaurant really wasn't that great. The "shrimp pakoras" were prebreaded frozen shrimp you get out of a box. The reshmi kabob was a very bland and based on the red color it looked as though it was supposed to be chicken tikka that they washed off to pass as reshmi chicken. Gave it an additional star since the server is very nice.
Great taste great receptionist...
Very poor hospitality.. we went in at 2.30 and we still had half an hour time for the buffet to close but the hotel staff was very rude in welcoming us and said this is all the food we have and if we can have if we wish to.. we just walked out of this place.
Ok so the food was authentic and delicious. I read a previous comment on h how he curry Channa chicken was just cubed chicken. Not so....it's chicken off the bone in a fantastic curry sauce. U can also specify which level of spicy u like on most all the dishes. Mild up to tear jerker. My only dislike was that the bathrooms were filthy. Mind tho i did go there during culture fest in Sep. So big crowds on Westcott that weekend and remember....this is run by a family straight from India. So they do everything themselves. Lots of work. My focus was great food.friendly service.nice atmosphere. And really low prices with ample food portions. A great asset to our culturally divers food scene. Thumbs up
Great lunch buffet - good value for the price, consistently good food. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.
Fantastic food. Service was OK, but seriously that food was awesome.
We've been coming here for a couple years and it's usually pretty good. The last couple times the food has been a little bland, not the usual. Not sure why
Amazing family owned place. Really tasty and in3xpensive. Really like the naan and the seafood special
Staff is not welcoming and food is average, they didn’t let us dine in at 9:15pm even though the closes at 10.. Very disappointing!
This place is now closed, and was assimilated by the local bar. Sorry folks! Try Sahota Palace a short ways north of here in Liverpool if you want amazing Indian cuisine!
Love the food. The owner and family are very nice people.
I love Taste of India The food is Great
Buffet with self-serve hot tea, yum!
Went for lunch buffet and food was great but don't go too late because they don't refill it. Staff was nice
Lunch buffet was great. 9 bucks, lots of vegetarian options and a few yummy vegan options!
Great food and friendly staff.
Excellent food. I really loved that they offer a choice of mild, medium or hot in regards to their dishes. I defiantly will go back again.
Taste of India is a family run restaurant. The food is always delicious and the staff are friendly. We usually call ahead for take out but eating in is also pleasant. We like the lunch buffet. It is very popular so food can take a while but it is worth the wait. We love the chicken tika Masala, Bengan bartha ( eggplant) and naan. The chicken and mushroom curry is also delicious.
Very nice place. Everything zabiha halal. If u r a truck driver. They can deliver to Pilot truck center .
